R2 contributes to publication with take on Fibonacci sequence.

«Golden Meaning» gathers 55 experiments by designers, typographers and image-makers. The book was presented at London’s Design Museum, on February 26.

Liza Ramalho and Artur Rebelo worked with the four initial digits of the Fibonacci sequence. The numbers were created using golden rectangles, which increase proportionally using the same sequence. The design of each number was generated randomly via computer processing.

The book also features works by Julia Hastings, Elisabeth Kopf, Moniker, Ian Wright, Mike Perry Studio, MGMT design, The Luxury of Protest and George Hardi, among others. The book is compiled by Lucienne Roberts and Rebecca Wright with the help of mathematician Alex Bellos.
